Route
Journey begins at Horn Island in the Torrres Straits.
Entry to PNG via DARU at the mouth of the Fly River.
Via the Kikori River Delta to MENDI for 2 nights at Kibaru Lodge.
Fly up to Wewak to get supplies and then up to WUVULI ISLAND for 2 nights - 200 km off the north coast.
West to the border town of VANIMO to organise imigration into Irian Jaya by baot to stay at JAYAPURA for 2 nights.
Back to VANIMO and fly via the Sepic River delta to MADANG and over to KarKar Island for 3 days .
Return to Australia through MT HAGEN to clear customs and then back to Horn Island.

The Story Behind My Site
I want to share one of the adventures we've had to the most amazing place in the world.
This trip was my 6th to PNG .
In 1995 I first visited Bensbach Fishing Lodge in the Western Provinces for 4 days of Barramundi Fishing.
I then spent an Easter in Rabaul to Dive and Fish and was fortunate to see the Volcano Tovurvur in a second eruption .
My next Trip was to Misima Island and then to Milne Bay for a day trip.
During this trip I decided to return with some friends to checkout the fishing.
5 of us returned for a 4 days stay in Alotau and some fishing around the area.
I returned for a weekend to Port Moresby for a weekend wedding of a friend the next year.
The following year we decided on a Trip that took us to Geroka ,Madang , Manus Island ,Emirau Is,Kaviang,Buka near Bougainville Is. back up to Rabauland down to Kimbe . We organised to spend a couple of days Fishing at Gasmata on the south coast of New Britain and then returned via the Trobriand Islands to Port Moresby and home to Cairns.
In August 2001 we spent 18 days flying around the Islands of Indonesia.
